Inside BeonNAT: get into our laboratories and fieldwork

We are thrilled to share with you our latest series of videos that dive deep into the heart of the BeonNAT project. This series provides an in-depth look at the remarkable fieldwork and research being carried out by our dedicated partners. Below, we summarize the key highlights from each of the three videos featured in our “Inside BeonNAT” series.

Exploring the Core of BeonNAT

In our first video, we introduce you to the core aspects of the BeonNAT project. Our coordinator, Luis Saúl Esteban, along with Irene Mediavilla, offer a comprehensive overview of the project’s objectives and the crucial work done by CIEMAT. CIEMAT plays a pivotal role in conditioning the biomass they receive to ensure it meets the highest quality standards.

From Cesefor, experts Tamara Coello García, Tomás Sánchez Pellicer, and Eduardo Bordallo elaborate on their contributions, focusing on the assessment of various tree and shrub species for chipboard production. This collaborative effort underscores the importance of interdisciplinary work in achieving project goals.

Progressing with BeonNAT

The second video in our series takes you through the latest phase of the BeonNAT project. We discuss the significant advancements made in producing various bio-products and the subsequent optimization efforts. The ultimate aim is to define biorefineries capable of supplying bio-products on a large scale, thereby fostering the growth of an associated industry.

Join Luis Saúl Esteban, Marina Sanz Gallego, and Siro Soria Franco from CIEMAT as they share insights into these developments and the future direction of the project.

Final Insights into BeonNAT

Our third and final video brings you detailed insights from key members of the BeonNAT team. Ruth Barro from CIEMAT highlights the critical work being done at the Biomass Characterisation Laboratory, showcasing the scientific rigor behind our project.

Additionally, Alba Ramos from IDOASIS and Salomé Robbert Prieto discuss their focus on the production of essential oils and plant extracts.

We invite you to watch these videos to gain a deeper understanding of the BeonNAT project and the innovative work our partners are doing to drive forward the bioeconomy.
